How to send resultsStars is a great way to advertise your sport to the wider community and let people know how your team and club is going. And it's free. If you want your sport included in Stars, just follow these simple steps to ensure your scores recieve coverage in the area's premier junior sport liftout.
Step 1 - organising and gatheringNominate an official in your club or association who will take the responsibility of collating scores from, preferably every team, in every club, in every league in your sport. It may be useful to hand out a template of what is required to every manager of every team who will complete the necessary details and return it to the nominated person. Step 2 - submittingThe nominated person then sends in all results/details to The Border Mail. The absolute deadline is 7.00pm on the Sunday night of each week. The Border Mail would prefer the material to be submitted by email. Please do not submit the material as attachments, especially files from programs like Microsoft Word and Excel. Results should be enetered in the main body of the email as plain text. Below is an example of how a typical submission should be sent using the most popular email program for Windows Outlook Express. In this example of the first team is shown as HOMERS and the second team as AWAYERS. At the bottom of this page there is a downloadable example template which you can paste into the body of your email as a guide for how to format your email.
Formatting RulesThe address to submit your results to is juniors@bordermail.com.au.
In the subject field of the email, please enter your sport followed by your league/competition. This helps us sort submissions easier.
At the top of the email, list your contact details, name contact phone number.
Every match should be submitted in the same style as above, as much as possible.
Submit all of the results in the one email rather than sending a different email for every match.
